I have also just listed some of my "Ontario Countryside" photos that I took in July - and will be listing more goodies throughout the weekend. Click here for my Etsy shop

I also wanted to share with you a new self portrait that I recently posted on Flickr:

I do not have a title for this one yet! :)

Hope you have a great weekend, wherever you are!

Wishing Away

And an older photo from the fall, but new to Etsy...

Hmm what else do I have for you...

New camera! I want one! Fujolga

I'm almost at 100 fans on my Facebook page (see link on the sidebar). I'm thinking my 100th fan will get a little gift (free print) so if you haven't joined yet - there's a little incentive for you ;)

Forest of Darkness

Forest of Darkness

Same forest, different perspective. I like the abstractness of the previous one, but this one is kind of dark and moody... which one do you like better?

Forest of Dreams

Continuing along the tree/forest theme from the previous post, here is a new shot I took a few weeks ago:

I also edited my blog a bit last night ~ got the side column back up to where its supposed to be, added a blog roll, and created a new banner. What do you think? :)

TGIF - blogs, photos and coffee!

Good Morning~ Happy Friday!

I'm mentioned on two blogs today - great photography blogs with a lot of other amazing images so check them out:

Photographers of Etsy

591 Photography Blog

I took this image a while ago and never did anything with it, I didn't even upload it to Flickr... not sure why. I like going back and reviewing my old photos - sometimes see things differently after time has passed. Does this happen to you too?

I'm looking for a super sized coffee as well, if you have any suggestions.

Sunsets & Flowers

Last two shots from my colour roll taken with my Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim.

I'll be putting some of these up in my Etsy shop for sale this weekend so check back if you're interested in prints~ Which ones are your favourites from this roll?

Sunset through a hotel window:

Just some pretty flowers and lens flare:

On to more black and whites tomorrow - country style!

Also I just received an email for a call for entries for The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards. Seems like a good cause (donations go to humanitarian societies) and the entry fees aren't too steep. Check it out.

Fantastic Plastic Exhibition!!

What a great show this is going to be - so many talented artists!! I wish I was able to go... this is my third show this year and I haven't been able to make it to any of them :(

More from the Viv - Yellow Tulips

Not sure how close I can get with this baby before things start to blur... but so far, so good! Thank you Fuji Velvia for the amazing colour saturation!

The sale prints at my Etsy Shop are selling fast and once they're gone they won't be relisted at that size or price for a while so if you're interested you'd better hurry :)

Hope you're all having a wonderful Monday morning (is that even possible? Let me know!)

Blue and Red

St. Marys River, Sault Ste. Marie Ontario
May 2009

This looks alot better large but the large size gets cut off on here. If you click the image that should take you to my flickr page where you can choose the all sizes button to see it larger. I just liked the lines and colours going on here, no other real reason for this shot.

Abandoned #2

I shot this on the highway somewhere north of Barrie, Ontario. Looks like an old motel? It was all boarded up and deserted. I liked the look and symmetry of the building, and thought it would make a good subject for the Vivitar.

I think I'm done with creepy building photos for a bit... happy flower photos will be posted soon!

TGIF!!

Happy Friday to everyone out there!

Another colourful summery image to brighten your day:

Abandoned
Transcanda Highway, Northern Ontario, 2009

I shot this with a Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim toy camera on Fuji Velvia film. I just love the colour saturation of that film - I did not edit this photo at all this is how it developed!!

I have a lot more photos in my backlog to get up. Will hopefully be posting some this weekend.

If you're a toy camera junkie like me you've probably already heard about Holgapalooza! But if not, here is the link again: Holgapalooza

I've also been putting up some 5x5 prints for sale on my Etsy shop for $5 each! I am selling some in pairs because they go so well together. I will be putting up more tonight so check it out later if you're interested! Click on the SALE section on the right of my shop.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Excessive photo taking/film wasting

Two photos that I took back in the fall that I forgot about! Or maybe I didn't like them at the time... but I do now:

Where I Found You

Transparency

These are also available to buy as prints from my Etsy Shop

The are Holga double exposures on slide film (Fuji Velvia 100), and cross processed to get the dreamy colours.

I have a bunch of negatives at the lab for rescanning - lots of colour ones which I will be adding as well so stay tuned for those, and new Holga work, new Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim work (in colour this time!) and soon I will be trying out my White Slim Angel. I can't seem to stop taking photos lately - must be the summer air~

When all you want is to be a stranger

Sunday Stuff:

Holgapalooza is now up and running!! Check it out.

Four Corners Store always has good and unique deals, plus they donate some of their proceeds to help animals which I think is a GREAT cause.

Also, I found out this weekend that one of my images was accepted into the Fantastic Plastic show at Watson Studio Gallery in Texas!! See the complete list of winners by clicking here. I'm very excited and honoured to be included with such talented artists.

One of the Jurors, Susan Burnstine is an amazing, amazing photographer. See her work here Susan Burnstine

Thats it from me - hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Some interesting and funny signs in Northern Ontario - we couldn't stop for all of them but this was one of my favourites!!

As I've mentioned before, I've recently joined the wonderful world of Etsy and through a group called "The Female Photographers of Etsy" I have discovered some wonderful photographers and work. If you're looking to purchase artwork for your home, here are few suggestions:

Cassia Beck

Elle Moss

Ginger Lilly Tea

Rebecca Tolk

Hope you have a wonderful weekend wherever you are! :)
