Monday Musings

Happy Monday! I had a busy weekend setting up some photography related things, and would like to let you all know about them:

First - Facebook - Please consider becoming a fan if you enjoy my work. HolgaJen's Facebook Page

Second - My shop is now open for business! (not much on there yet but I'm working on it)HolgaJen on Etsy

I will update about the shop again, maybe in a week or so when I have got more prints up. Feel free to contact me if you would like anything special, or any print you would like that is not on there yet, I can happily put up for you!

**If you would like to order a print and you mention you saw the link to my shop on my blog, I will throw in a free 4x4 print of your choice.**

Coincidence, Links and a Photo

Well imagine that - right after I declare my want of one, I get a great review to help further convince myself that I do infact NEED it Holga 120 WPC Review at Holga Blog I think it was fate.

My friend Mike posted a link to an article from the New York Times about how people should steal photos off of Flickr to decorate with. Check it out here I'm not sure how I feel about this, but its definitely not right to be promoting this sort of behaviour in a newspaper. The article does however link to a very cool Flickr page of the Library of Congress. Worth a look.

Fellow self portrait artist Elle Moss always has interesting and colourful things happening on her blog. (Don't tell anyone but I think she has an Etsy addiction!)

Summer is here!! Yes even in Canada! And school is out. Can't you just feel the happiness and relief in the air?

Things I want but can't have quite yet...

~ A super cute camera

~ A super cool camera

~ To finally try out some Holga infrared (I have a tripod, the filter and the film so what's my problem!) Highly inspired by This Guy. Damn, he's good.

TIME and maybe a little extra cash to make all these things possible!!

I did shoot a roll with my Holga last night during some more self portrait experiments. (It's really hot here this week and I needed a distraction from our non-AC apartment). My next roll will be using my new White Slim Angel that I won from Four Corners Dark a few weeks back. I have some Fuji Velvia saved for that.

Oh and I am also excited about Holgapalooza! (The site is still under construction)

How are all my fellow photography lovers doing out there? Stop by and say hi! Share with me some coveted links of your own!

A Boat!

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
May 2009

Shot this with a holga + generic wide angle lens. There is a lovely boardwalk along the river that connects the two great lakes there, which included this little marina. This boat was some sort of museum - didn't get a chance to go in it though.
