Another Holga shot from the wildlife park... the deer were not dangerous so I rolled down the window! (I'm such a rebel)

Anyone know what those little dots are at the top? Is that from the film sprockets? I've never had that show up before on my Holga photos.

That's a great image, and i love the movement in that shot!!
ReplyDeleteJen - how old was your film? It almost looks like a sort of "impression" from the paper lining of the film. (I worked in a pro photo lab for a few years) - that format shouldn't have holes so that's my only idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot - I hope you use one in the next Photo of the Week feature! :)
Ok, another possibility for the spots - a bit of moisture before the film was processed? It's almost too regular to be water spots acquired during processing, but that's another possibility. Ok, I think that's all my ideas on that point now. ;) Hard to say without seeing the film in person.
ReplyDeleteI haven't shot enough film to know what's supposed to be there, but I don't think those are :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe smudges made by advancing the film. Check your film rollers.
I think it is in fact from the paper. I've had a similar effect on one roll I shot in Canada last year, and only on two shots. Kinda weird, but I'm digging the results: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ipom/2782969129/
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I was thinking when I wrote film sprockets lol... I blame jet lag!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thoughts everyone - maybe the film got exposed to humidity or something on its way to me, I think I ordered that batch off of ebay.
no idea about the spots... but love the shot! :)
ReplyDeleteamazing photograph, just amazing.
ReplyDeletei love the fact that there is a whole line of cars in the distance. its like the man behind the curtain
